Darrell Kaufman jotted an email last week to report that his team was back from a ten-day excursion to Cordova, Alaska, to collect sediment samples from a group of area lakes. Their field work went well. “We recovered over 350 lb of mud from four different lakes and discovered some really interesting new records of environmental changes,” Kaufman wrote.
